New Navy SEAL Museum Downtown Receives Giant Artifact Through Second-Story Window
San Diego, CA – September 18, 2024 – The upcoming Navy SEAL Museum San Diego (NSMSD), located at 1001 Kettner Blvd., will be receiving a SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) which will be crane-lifted into the Museum’s second floor in a highly visible installation on September 26, 2024, at 6:30 AM.
Retired Vice Admiral and Navy SEAL Captain Assume Roles at Upcoming Navy SEAL Museum
San Diego, CA – July 9, 2024 – The upcoming Navy SEAL Museum San Diego’s Board of Directors has appointed Vice Admiral Tim Szymanski, USN (Ret.) to serve as its chairman for the next term. Szymanski served most recently as the Deputy Commander for United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) after previously serving as the Commander of Naval Special Warfare (NSW).
Navy SEAL Museum Unveils D-Day Monument in Normandy, France,
Honoring the Courage and Sacrifice of Predecessors of Today’s Navy SEALs
May 30, 2024 – Today the Navy SEAL Museum Fort Pierce (NSMFP) will unveil a monument park honoring the Naval Combat Demolition Units (NCDU) and Scouts and Raiders (S&R)–predecessors of today’s Navy SEALs and Special Boat Crews–at Omaha Beach, one of the beaches targeted by the Allied Forces during the 1944 D-Day invasion in Normandy, France.
The Navy SEAL Museum San Diego Secures Location in Downtown San Diego
March 5, 2024 – The Navy SEAL Museum San Diego (NSMSD) has signed a lease at 1001 Kettner Boulevard in Downtown San Diego to build a museum to honor the history and heritage of the U.S. Navy SEALs. This location was formerly utilized by the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego.

Hal Kuykendall former Navy SEAL and retired local businessman made a vow long ago to give more than he takes. And he upheld that goal throughout his life with family, friends, employers, and the United Sates. Today, in retrospect Hal shares how that promise was extremely ambitious given that there were so many people throughout his life who gave him so much.

While attending the University of Arizona in 1955, Doug Allred joined the Navy Reserve Officer program in which he obtained his commission shortly after graduating in 1957. During that time, Doug never lost sight of his desire to become a UDT Frogman and still believes his three-and-a-half-year service as a Frogman was one of the most rewarding times in his life.
